Our young people performed a nativity run by Indie from Mad About The Theatre, and performed with heart and confidence. It showed the talent and creativity of our young people who attended the dine and drama sessions.

Christmas winter experience 2025
Jaywick and Clacton Winter Experience
We were kindly donated funds to put on a winter experience for both Clacton and Jaywick families. The night was made up of games, food and a Santa experience for our young people and their families to enjoy. We invited James the entertainer along to provide the fun for our children.

And a huge thank you to James Magic Entertainment for always providing a fun time for our young people and every family went home with tummys filled and a bag filled with christmas joy, warm fluffy socks, family card games, chocolate and craft activities for the family to enjoy together.
Skateboarding Trip
Monday nights recently got a lot more exciting for our younger ones! Across two dedicated workshops, professional skateboarding instructors worked closely with the children to teach them the ropes. It was wonderful to see their persistence pay off as they practiced their balance and celebrated their progress together.

Santas Grotto 2024
This years family Christmas grotto was an amazing event. Even bigger and better than last year! It was a fun evening for the family to enjoy and a fantastic achievement for all those involved. We provided over 180 local residents with a hot tasty Christmas dinner treat. This years grotto brought some extra Christmas magic with James the Entertainer alongside an amazing visit from Father Christmas where all children received a Christmas gift. The event was a truly heart warming and magical experience for the whole community.
Residential Wales Trip
On October 20th 2024 we took a group of 7 young people to Snowdonia. It was a chance to explore a beautiful new open environment away from the usual stresses. We travelled most of the first day in our minibus, Callum provided entertainment with his impromptu lyrics and a natural ability to express himself through rap.
We settled into our temporary home for the weekend by cooking a comfort curry. Thank you Frances, our cook who sent us off with one of her tasty homemade sauces!
The next morning we set off early to conquer Pen Y Fan, the tallest peak at a full height 886 metres (2900 ft). The boys made easy work of it, a mere 1 hour 20 minutes and were back down by lunchtime where a victory dance broke out!
Celebrating Diwali
Our Diwali event had a wonderful warmth to the whole afternoon which saw local families join our sessions, members of the Clacton community and members of organisations that we work with. They all enjoyed a cultural experience of saree draping and Diwali art all in celebration of Diwali ran by the lovely Nidhi from London’s design museum followed by a tasty meal provided for free by Slice and Spice in Colchester.

Celebrating IV’s 20th Anniversary
IV turned 20 this year. So to celebrate we hosted a little celebration at the location where it all started - Coppins. We invited everyone. From previous staff members to old beneficiaries. BBQ, Crafts and much more fun was had. It was a fun filled day enjoyed by everyone
